Hi, Plant Peeps! My name is Julie and I am the co-founder of BLOOM. In 2003, my husband, Chad, and I opened our garden shop, in a cute little space, formerly a gas station, on Bayshore Boulevard in South Tampa. We had always been inspired by the adorable garden centers and plant shops in Litchfield County, CT. We would visit our favorites on the weekends while living in NYC. We knew one day we would move back to Florida and start our own botanical business.  My parents, horticulturalists, Evie and John Burks, gave us a lot of plant knowledge and experience. They grew citrus in the 70’s, owned and operated a large wholesale foliage nursery in the 80’s and 90’s.
We moved to our current location in 2007. This year we are 20 years old! We are so thankful to be a part of the Tampa Bay community and for all of our wonderful Bloom family and amazing customers. We hope you have the time to stop in and see what the magic of Bloom is all about!
